I'll be honest, I'm resisting the urge to say "Hi, Y'all." And not just because it sounds so ridiculously Southern, but because as you'll learn reading this blog, I'm not really all that Southern at all. Born and raised in Key West, Fla., I've always identified with being an island girl. Florida is technically in the South, so I suppose I was raised with Southern sensibilities. It wasn't until I moved to New York City after college, however, that I swore up and down I was "from the South." While I may be from the South, I am in fact not very Southern (or so I'm learning).
After moving to Birmingham, Alabama in January 2014, I've learned that, well, I've got a lot to learn. I've since moved to Atlanta, GA, but I'm still trying to find my way in this crazy little thing called life. Thanks for following along.
